IRONCLIFFE
Ironcliffe are and alternative country/blues root band based on the North West Coast of Tasmania. All 4 members are originally from the region and have performed extensively throughout the area.
The band consists of Scott Mainwaring (vocal, guitar), Gary Vandepol (bass), Steve MacFarlane (keys) and Gary Evans (drums).
Ironcliffe was formed by Scott Mainwaring after many years of performing with Australia Roots/Alt Country band Pale rider and as a sideman with The Sheyana Band. All 4 members cut their teeth playing throughout the eighties scene and have continued to hone their craft throughout their days.
Drawing from influences such as Neil Young, JJ Cale & Tony Joe White, the band create a nostalgic vibe augmented by long improvised instrumental passages. The band showcase tunes in their live set ranging from chilled acoustic to raucous blues jams.
